For Sponsors & CROs

Preferred Clinical Research is a division of Preferred Primary Care Physicians with four locations across southwestern Pennsylvania. We are an independently owned group of primary care physicians conducting multi-therapeutic clinical research studies. Our experienced research staff is available to manage your clinical trial with the utmost integrity and focus on recruitment and quality of data.

We pride ourselves on the meticulous execution of Phase II through IV Clinical Trials, while providing the highest degree of accuracy, integrity and quality data to our sponsors.  We are well-versed in timely data transmission, regardless of the EDC system.

Furthermore, we empower our patients to make informed decisions through comprehensive education, and we are committed to treating every patient with dignity and respect.

Our Team

At each site, a team of board-certified internists or family physicians, nurse practitioners, and clinical research coordinators work together to implement and conduct trials with a commitment to quality clinical research and exceptional patient care. We are current with Good Clinical Practices and our coordinators are certified by the Association of Clinical Research Professionals. All clinical research activities are overseen and centrally managed by our Director of Clinical Research.

Our Facilities

Our offices are in full compliance with HIPAA guidelines and use a central IRB. Facilities include on-site ECG, PFT machine, CLIA certified lab, -20 degree freezer, as well as secure record and drug storage.

We excel at meeting or exceeding recruitment goals. Patients are recruited primarily from within the practices, and enrollment is facilitated through Preferred’s advanced electronic medical record system with over 95,000 active patient charts. Each practice has the ability to broadly recruit patients within the entire Preferred network of more than 25 primary care practices. When necessary, additional patients can be recruited through physician referrals, media advertisements, community programs, health fairs, and speaking engagements.
