Clinical Trials
The research division of Preferred Primary Care Physicians conducts clinical trials at five private practice sites in southwestern Pennsylvania. A full-time clinical research director is responsible for centrally managing all research activity. At each site, a team of board-certified internists or family practitioners, clinical research coordinators, and nurse practitioners fulfills studies that advance primary care practice and the health of patients.
Studies are directed by a principal investigator with other physicians and nurse practitioners at the site acting as sub-investigators. Each study is assigned to a clinical research coordinator, who is responsible for its day-to-day management and implementation.
